2024-2025 Grassroots Identification Sessions
U8-U12 (2017-2013)

Guelph Soccer is home to the Jr. Gryphons - a player-centered development model that is among the best in the province. Guelph Soccer hosts Identification Sessions within the fall months to provide players with the opportunity to have an inclusive playing experience within our organization.

Our development sessions allow for athletes to participate in training sessions where they can experience being coached by our age group coaches, interact with players within their cohort, and experience our overall developmental environment. Our goal is to advance our players to reach their potential.

These sessions allow families to determine if the competitive pathway at Guelph Soccer is the best environment for their child(ren)’s individual development. It also allows the club to recruit athletes and players beyond technical and tactical competencies, accounting for character traits such as engagement, joy, the will to learn, and more.

Identification Sessions for the 2024-2025 Competitive Program will be held between October 5th to October 10th.

Sessions will be one hour in length with players participating in small, sided games. Players are strongly encouraged to attend all age group sessions and are open to anyone interested.

Upon conclusion of the sessions, players deemed developmentally appropriate for the competitive pathway will be invited into the 2024-2025 program.
