Guelph Soccer Kickz program
Guelph Soccer has been a proud partner of the Kickz program in Guelph since it's establishment.
Kickz is a healthy, after school program for youth from Shelldale Family Gateway Neighbourhood and West Willow Woods Neighbourhood. These particular communities have higher number of residents who are new to Canada and many members that face greater socioeconomic challenges. This program would not exist without successful collaboration between Guelph Police Services, Shelldale Family Gateway, West Willow Village, Guelph Soccer, Guelph Wellington Immigrant Services and our uniform supplier Puma. Guelph Police Service members volunteer as coaches which allows youth to see police in social settings, outside of police uniform. This helps to develop trust and a strong, positive relationship.
