Neighbourhood Program

WE’RE BRINGING SOCCER INTO THE COMMUNITY!

Introduced in Summer 2020, Guelph Soccer launched its Neighbourhood Program, a co-ed recreational soccer program for participants aged 4 to 12. This program focuses on fun and enjoyment while acting as a ‘pick-up soccer in your backyard’ type of environment. We offer the program throughout different neighbourhoods in the city to try and reduce the financial and transportation barrier some families experience. The program is offered four days a week with sessions at a different field location each day. Sessions are 45 minutes in length, led by program supervisors, and assisted by volunteer coaches.

Participants are separated into three age groups: Active Start (U4-7), Fundamentals (U8-U9), and Learn to Train (U10-U12). The program’s focus is to provide a fun soccer environment where players can participate in individual activities, group challenges, and small sided games (3v3, 4v4, 5v5). Our Neighbourhood Program offers participants a low-cost option conveniently located in their back yard to eliminate transportation barriers while still offering a developmental opportunity for players to progress throughout the summer.

Dates, Times, and Locations

The Neighbourhood Program runs in the summer at different areas of the City of Guelph (North, South, East, West), making it easily accessible to everyone!

Registration is currently not available at this time.
