Meet Guelph Soccer's New Executive Director

To our valued members, community partners, and stakeholders, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of Guelph Soccer’s new Executive Director, David Frizzell effective May 15, 2023.

David joins us from Ontario University Athletics where he worked from June 2016 as the Director of Sponsorship, and transitioned into the Director of Marketing and Partnerships role in November 2017. Prior to joining the OUA, David spent nearly five years at the University of Toronto as the Manager, Advertising & Sponsorship with the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education.

David began his career in the Ontario Hockey League where he spent over 10 years working with various franchises. His final position in hockey was with the Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club as the Executive Vice President.

David is a graduate of Laurentian University and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Sports Administration.

He is drawn to the meaningful work of creating opportunities for participation and growth through sport and in particular, soccer.
