Justin Springer

Justin has an impressive soccer career playing at the the University level, semi-professional level and international level.  During his play with the University of Guelph Gryphons he was named team captain for 4 years, was the recipient of the W.F. Mitchell Sportsman Of The Year Award, was a 5 time OUA First Team All -Star, and was named a CIS/USports All Canadian and was named as a CIS/Usports National Tournament All-Star in his graduating year.  To top his University career he also holds the most appearances and minutes played program records while wearing a Gryphons jersey.  He has also represented Team Canada at the World University Games in 2015, and currently plays for the Saint Kitts and Nevis Senior Men's National Team where he has recorded 7 international appearances since August of 2016.  Prior to that he was a member of the KW United PDL team where he was apart of their North American Championship in 2015.  

Mitchell Apollon

Mitchell Apollon's coaching career began in the late 80's while he was playing semi-pro in Quebec's major league.  He later moved to Ontario to play in the Spanish first division and began coaching at the North Mississauga Soccer Club in 2001 as a rep coach and mentor coach, where he has continued to date.  Mitchell has also been a staff coach for the Guelph Soccer Club in the past.  Mitchell was with Guelph Soccer from 2006-2010.  Mitchell returned in 2016 and we are very excited to have Mitchell on board as Head Coach of Player Development.  His constructive feedback has helped improve many Guelph Soccer players and his love and passion for the game along with his respect of players and coaches, is evident from the moment you meet him.  

Ainsley Wheldon

Ainsley joins the Guelph Soccer and Junior Gryphons Program after a 15 year playing career alongside 12 years of coaching experience in both Canada and the U.S.A. A former Division 1 Student-Athlete, Ainsley started 4 years in goal at the University of Buffalo Women's Soccer Program setting multiple program records, winning multiple conference awards, and making waves on the National Women's College Soccer Level.  Her local coaching experience has been with Elite Athlete's Soccer Academy, Kitchener Soccer Academy, Brampton united Soccer, KW United Women's Team, Burlington Youth Soccer, and the University of Guelphs's Women's Soccer Team.  She is very excited to bring her decade long coaching experience to the Guelph Soccer Club.
